Christmas Reflections

The house is quiet this morning...such an odd feeling but delightful, too.

My husband is running errands and the dogs are at the groomers...so it is just the kitty and me. I poured myself a cup of hot cinnamon tea and I have allowed myself to just wander around the house. Do you ever do that?

The tree lights are gleaming away and the 'happy mess' (as I love calling it ) is everywhere. My husband and I did not open our gifts until very late on Christmas Day; we wanted time to settle down and just enjoy the moment. I put presents and odds and ends on tables and the floor and I have to be careful where I walk.

I am a very neat person and hate messes but these kind of messes make me 'feel the moment.' I am looking back on a wonderful day and I'm grateful for the love and joy.

Sending you my blessings for this coming New Year.....may it be filled with good health and joy for each of you.

Love,
Barb

  3. I know exactly what you mean by the "happy mess". We have it here too, although I cleaned up most of it today. The holidays fly by far too quickly, don't they. I love to putter around and just "be" as well. Are we allowed to do that nowadays? ;)

    Merry Christmas!

  4. I'm glad to see you had a wonderful Christmas. I'm still enjoying the happy mess here, but do have plans to put things away--slowly. Best wishes for a very Happy New Year to you too!
